Better Together: Bed and Nightstand Pairings That Make The Room

Ever feel like your bedroom doesn’t quite express the style you’re seeking? To create a cohesive aesthetic, it’s important for other furnishings to coordinate with your bed (even if it is the focal point).

To demonstrate, we paired three beds – all with their own unique style – with nightstands and accessories. The result is three distinct, yet equally dreamy, looks.

1.

Cool and Transitional

This ensemble doubles down on simple transitional styling and is marked by clean lines. With its brass finials and classic linen headboard and footboard, our Whitby Canopy Bed can skew modern or classic. Our Giorgio Nightstand pops against the bed’s simplicity, thanks to the subtly textured fluting of the drawer fronts, creating a balance that’s just right. A crisp mix of navy and white bedding puts the finishing touches on a look that is fresh yet grounded.

2.

Soft and Elegant

For a space where softness and elegance abound, there’s no better place to start than with ornate antique-inspired ornamentation, balanced by a subdued finish. Here, the classic Greco-Roman detailing on the Beauvier French Cane Bed is matched by the 18th-century French styling of the Etienne Shelf Nightstand. The accessories and bedding then follow suit, sticking to classic and feminine motifs in a relaxing dusty blue palette.

3.

Clean and Traditional

Despite the Marion French Cane Bed’s light finish and rattan paneling, the look of the room leans traditional and warm, yet clean, because of the more reserved styling and quiet palette. The modest embellishments of the headboard and footboard are echoed in the drawer fronts of the Marion Nightstands. And while caning adds a touch of visual warmth all its own, the addition of an upholstered bench at the foot of the bed helps make this room extra cozy.
